St. George, January 22, 2024 – Over 160 people from farm and golf operations across the west attended the Sixth Annual Stotz Equipment Precision Summit held at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, UT last month. The event is organized and hosted by the company’s Precision Team.
The summit commenced on the evening of January 22nd with a welcome reception and open exhibit, giving customers the opportunity to connect with vendors and learn about the latest technologies. The following day started with a captivating keynote address by Stotz Equipment CEO, Tom Rosztoczy, setting the stage for attendees to explore the possibilities of integrating technology and data into their farming operations. Through real-life examples, participants gained insights into how farmers are leveraging tech and data to enhance decision-making processes and achieve tangible returns on investment.
Following the keynote, attendees could join breakout sessions and presentations led by Stotz Equipment. Customer panels gave attendees the opportunity to learn how their peers are using the latest technologies such as drone application, automated orchard sprayers, and the utilization of operations centers. These panels highlight the pivotal role of technology in agricultural decision-making processes. The Precision Team was excited to debut their DJI T40 drones, which can spread fertilizer at a remarkable rate of up to 40 acres per hour with minimal stress on plants and no soil compaction. This advancement represents a significant leap forward in farming technology and application techniques. The summit concluded with dinner and golf at Big Shots, allowing attendees to network throughout the evening.
Initial feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for the networking opportunities and informative panel discussions. Farmers expressed enthusiasm for learning from their peers and exploring the diverse offerings showcased at the expo.
With a Precision Team of over 30 dedicated individuals, Stotz Equipment continues to develop this segment of their business, offering creative solutions and strengthening relationships with their forward-thinking customer base.
